So this author is new to me. I went looking for an I book to add to my list and came across this book on another authors read list. I gave it a shot and I was so glad I did. Not only did it have my favorite boy name ever . . . Griffin. ( I prefer Gryphon) But it also was a cute and endearing story that I instantly connected with.
If Only is about a girl named Jordan who decides to study abroad for a semester in Aberdeen Scotland. It's been two years since she has had a relationship of any kind, and her best friend Sam pushes her into being a little more . . .well . . . loose. Basically hop into bed with the boys and don't think twice. Jordan's never had that kind of relationship and it makes her nervous. While on the train to Scotland she meets, not one but two different boys. Griffin Reed a hot, sexy, player that immediately establishes a connection with her. And Noah the brooding, sexy, bookworm that shares her major. While on the Train and a trip to the loo, Noah and Jordan get locked into the room together making the trip to Aberdeen a little more interesting when Noah suddenly kisses her. After the kiss Jordan's head spins and starts to pine over him, until she finds out he has a girlfriend that's also in Scotland. Desperate to turn off her feelings Jordan starts dating Griffin, but things end up getting all messed up when Griffin, the guy she counted on to be all fun and nothing serious, starts to get a little attached and she can't stop thinking about Noah. Noah and Jordan end up being thrown together in so many ways, and it only further complicates Jordan's new lease on life. The only problem is, even though she cares for Griffin, her heart beats for Noah.
I loved this book, though I kinda was partial to one of the boys so I wasn't overly happy with the ending, but such is life. Not every guy gets the girl . . . It's a cute, quick, fun read. With a great female lead, and two sexy male heartthrobs that would make great Book Boyfriends.
